Eligibility to attend DDO

 

Eligibility Requirements to attend Dollard-Des-Ormeaux School in the upcoming school year, are as follows: 

 

  1. Your child was born before October 1st. If they are not 5 years old as of September 30th, they are not eligible for 5-year-old Kindergarten yet; you should wait to register them in February of the next year. 
  2. Your child must be eligible to receive English Instruction under La Charte de la langue francaise, Bill 101*. More information on how a child can be eligible can be found here. The application for this certificate will be provided in the Registration Package. 

  3. Check on this link to see if your address falls in the Dollard-des-Ormeaux School boundaries.  
    (2024-2025 School Year)

    If you are not in the boundary, you will need to register at the school whose boundary your address is in**. Should you like your child to attend Dollard-des-Ormeaux School but are outside the boundary, be sure to ask the local school about a Cross-Boundary Transfer Request. 

 

* Note there is an exception for a child who is a dependent child of a Regular Forces member of the Canadian Armed Forces who is assigned to Quebec temporarily. 

** Please note, not all addresses in the Dollard-des-Ormeaux area are eligible for bussing.
