Student absence or illness

In case your child has one of the following illnesses or symptoms we  implement and follow the standards set out in our health and wellness policy.

Please call in sick

When your child is sick, please call us between 7:30 a.m. and 8 a.m. via telephone number (418) 548-3181, ext. 2000 and leave a message.

If you cannot get through via the telephone, please let us know by email via rres@cqsb.qc.ca. 
You may also let the teacher know via class Dojo.

Student illness or serious injury

In case your child becomes ill or gets injured during a school day and we cannot provide the care he/she needs, we will call you and ask to pick him/her up.

Scheduled absence

In case of a scheduled absence (doctors/dentist appointment) during school hours, please contact us as early as possible by telephone, by Class Dojo app or by email, mentioning the following:

* date;
* time;
* the reason for absence.

It is important for the school and your child’s teacher to know, to prevent worries.
If your child is absent beyond our knowledge, we will call you to ask where he/she is.

A summary of your child’s absence is shown on his/her report card.
