Location

Riverside Regional School (RRS) is located in historic Arvida (Jonquière sector of Ville Saguenay). The majority of our students come from three cities, all within a 15-minute drive from our school: Jonquière, Chicoutimi, and La Baie. We also have students from outlying areas including Alma, Laterrière, and Shipshaw.

Programs

RRS offers small class sizes, dedicated staff, and all required courses as stipulated by the Ministère de l'Éducation et de l'Enseignement Supérieur (MEES) from Kindergarten to Secondary 5. In particular, we offer the French mother tongue program which is the same as what is offered in the local francophone high schools. An enriched French as a second language program is also offered. These programs allow our students to graduate from RRS with a bilingual diploma. A variety of option courses are also offered from Secondary 1-5 in science, sports, arts and media studies. It should be noted that our ministerial exam results in Secondary 4 and 5 exceed the provincial average!
