Today is the Day! The annual spring parade celebrating Irish heritage is happening today, Saturday, March 28!
Wishing everyone a wonderful day! 🍀💚

Each spring, schools take part in the Violence and Bullying Prevention Week, an important opportunity for all members of the school community to reflect on everyone’s rights and responsibilities in preventing violence, bullying, and cyberbullying.
This year, the theme for the Violence and Bullying Prevention Week is “Do You Have the Right?”
Throughout the week, a variety of activities and resources will be offered to students, their families, and school staff. These initiatives aim to strengthen prevention practices, promote a healthy and safe school climate, and support the engagement of our entire educational community.

We are thrilled to see all the interest our future high school is generating! 💙
Some unofficial initiatives are currently circulating to find it a name – a clear sign of the enthusiasm within our community.
However, we would like to provide some clarification regarding the official naming process. This important step has not yet begun, as we intend to approach it thoughtfully and at the appropriate time. ✨ Once we are ready, the community, CQSB personnel, and especially those from our three high schools in the Québec region – who are at the heart of this process – will be invited to take part in the reflection.
In the meantime, visit our New High School web page to follow the progress of the project, subscribe to our Construction Updates to stay informed and follow the construction progress live 🎥 thanks to the cameras on‑site.
Your support and your energy contribute to the growth of this exciting community project! Thank you!🌟🙌

Today, we are pleased to celebrate all the employees of our school board. Together, we form an exceptional team united by a common mission: to provide our students with the best possible education, to support their social development, and to help them develop their full potential so they can become engaged members of our ever‑evolving society.
Thank you to each and every one of our support staff, professionals, teachers, and administrators. Your commitment, passion, and dedication make a profound difference in the lives of our students and in the vitality of our organization.
Exceptionally this year, due to weather conditions that could result in a storm and the possible closure of some of our schools, this special day will be recognized at different moments throughout this week and next week in each of our establishments.
Wishing all of us at the CQSB a wonderful day!

We are continuing to recognize the Semaine nationale de lutte à l’exploitation sexuelle des mineur·es –. Knowledge and awareness are powerful protective factors for youth.
We invite all members of our school community — parents, educators, and staff — to learn more about this critical issue and explore resources available to support and protect young people.
To find reliable information and tools, please visit Ensemble Québec. Together, we can help prevent sexual exploitation and create a safe environment for our youth.

As part of the Semaine nationale de lutte à l’exploitation sexuelle des mineur·es (March 1–7, 2026), we invite all members of the community to learn more and take action regarding the issue of youth sexual exploitation.
The Ministère de la Sécurité publique entrusted the Centre intégré universitaire de santé et de services sociaux de la Capitale-Nationale with the mandate to develop training tools and content aimed at preventing sexual exploitation and supporting appropriate intervention with victims. This initiative is part of the Government Action Plan 2021–2026, developed in response to the recommendations of the Commission spéciale sur l’exploitation sexuelle des mineurs.
The goal is to raise awareness among individuals who may come into contact with minors about the importance of detection, referral, and reporting, in accordance with the Youth Protection Act.
To follow this self-paced training: Contrer l'exploitation sexuelle,
The sexual exploitation of minors is everyone’s responsibility.
Let’s stay informed. Let’s be vigilant. Let’s act together to protect our youth.

As part of the “Semaine nationale de lutte à l’exploitation sexuelle des mineur·es”, held from March 1 to 7, 2026, the “Table régionale de concertation de Québec sur l’exploitation sexuelle” presented, on February 26, 2026, the very first edition of its youth art exhibition under the theme “Our Connections in Creation.”
This initiative brought together youth from the Capitale-Nationale region around artistic projects promoting healthy relationships (communication, values, intimacy, personal boundaries). We also highlight the valuable contribution of Rodolfo Condal, a dedicated support worker at Quebec High School, as well as the youth involved in the project, who actively contributed to the reflection and creation of the artworks. Thanks also to the staff of Quebec High School who attended the opening to support the students.
The exhibition is open to the public until March 31, 2026, at Espace Sherpa (130 boulevard Charest East, Québec City).
We warmly invite members of the community to come see the artworks and support youth-led reflection on the prevention of sexual exploitation.

Learning for All!

For generations, the Naskapi people have occupied the land of what is now northern Québec and Labrador since time immemorial. The Naskapi were nomads, living off the land and following the caribou herds on which they depended for resources. During the 1950s, the Naskapi way of life changed when most of the Naskapi people moved from Fort Chimo area to the Schefferville region.
The signing of Northeastern Quebec Agreement (NEQA) in 1978 which followed The James Bay and Northern Quebec Agreement (JBNQA), led to development of the community of Kawawachikamach which continues to grow and flourish.
Through the Jimmy Sandy Memorial School and the James Chescappio Memorial Learning Centre, the CQSB proudly honours its relationship with the Naskapi people.
